Students are able to access this during center time. I set up the mobi and give the students an activity to do. Fort this activity, I give the students the mobi and allow them to play when ready. They are instructed to pause the video and re-read the words with their partner. When they have read the words they can continue, if they need to re hear the words, they begin the video again.
Students are also challenged to listen to 5 or 10 words, then stop the video to read the words on their own.
After listening to 20 words, they are challenged to stop the video and read them on their own setting a time limit goal, trying to beat their goal each time the center is used.
Students select a school, a reading level that is appropriate for them, and a sport to read about. When they are done, they are able to select a new sport to read about. Students take turn reading and using the mobi (or dual board) to turn pages.
